Imass and Trionics Join Forces
16th Sep
New venture combines strengths of two major Autodesk manufacturing solutions resellers
11th August 2009
- Imass Ltd has today announced that it is joining forces with Leeds-based Autodesk manufacturing design solutions reseller Trionics Ltd. The move will see the creation of a team offering experience and expertise unrivalled in the industry and will further consolidate Imass’ position as Autodesk’s largest UK reseller of
manufacturing design solutions
.
Colin Watson, director of design solutions for Imass Ltd and joint-owners of Trionics Ltd, John Pickering and John Bartle, said that it would be “business as usual” with customers experiencing a seamless continuity of service. However, they stressed that by combining the strengths of the two businesses, they would be further enhancing their customer service, support and technical consultancy.
Imass has built up a solid reputation delivering best-in-class service, solutions and training from its Newcastle and Aberdeen offices. One of its main strengths is its consulting capabilities; for example, identifying business improvements through
digital prototyping
and the management and sharing of digital data. Because of this, it can provide customers with a complete solution across the design to manufacture process, including tailored training modules. Although its customers span the entire manufacturing industry, Imass particularly focuses on the oil, gas, renewables and nuclear sectors.
Trionics, one of the first Autodesk resellers dedicated entirely to the manufacturing sector, has built-up unprecedented technical expertise to advise customers from the initial concept through to testing digital models. Radiating out from its West Yorkshire base, Trionics customers include a complete range of engineering companies supplying everything from heavy machinery to small automotive components.
“Manufacturing is facing a demanding time,” said Watson. “But, new methods of working such as digital prototyping can really help customers address current global challenges and remain competitive. Our objective is to build a long-term sustainable organisation that continues to provide best-in-class service to our joint customer base, enabling them to increase productivity and enjoy faster returns on investment.”
Pickering agreed: “Our customers too are seeing great benefits from adopting digital prototyping best practices. We are very excited about joining forces with Imass, as I believe this new venture will set an important benchmark in the CAD sector for service, support and knowledge.”
